The Shortround bridges the gap between easy riding “cheater” surfboards and the high performance shortboard. The speed comes from a low entry rocker and wide-ish nose, with a forward wide point and generous concave throughout. The performance comes from a moderate, but not flipped up, tail rocker, a double concave through the fins and the same sort of modern bump squash tail that you would find on a typical contest style, small wave HP shortboard. All combined, it doesn’t look like anything fancy and there are no gimmicks, but some times less is more, and there’s a lot packed into this little surfboard.

This board, features a concave bottom that transitions to vee in the tail. The wide outline makes for easy wave catching and down the line glide and stability. The concave bottom adds lift and increased rail curve, which allows radical top to bottom surfing. The straight rail line & vee in the tail keep the board moving forward and hold in during hard carving maneuvers.

All-rounder shape designed for the recreational surfer with competitive spirit. Single-to-double concave bottom with mid-volume rails and performance rocker give reliable and nimble performance. The Bamboo Veneer construction brings lightness, strength and sensitivity to the board.
Botanically categorized as a grass, bamboo just might be the world’s most sustainable resource. It is the fastest growing grass and can shoot up over a metre a day without any pesticides, herbicides or fertilizers. The extensive root system of bamboo holds soil together, prevents soil erosion, and retains water. Bamboo fibres are long, strong and light so when sandwiched between layers of fibreglass and epoxy resin on a surfboard, they provide a lightweight, durable, great looking and great performing board.
The quick rebound qualities of Carbon fibre 3K rail bands bring a highly reactive feel to this Bamboo sandwich combo where the reinforcement is strategically placed to minimise weight and maximise strength where needed. One of the lightest technologies on the market, the BAMBOO EPOXY CARBON technology is where performance knows no limits.
Fabled Aussie shaper Bruce McKee has teamed-up with Fanatic to craft a beautifully balanced line-up McKee. Bruce has supplied many shapers with his M4 Quattro quad and M5 Multisystem concept systems and as a renowned `gun´ specialist is the guy big-wave riders call when deep offshore lows start to crank.
Over 20-yrs in Europe, Bruce has crafted boards for many top pros of the WCT & WQS tours. He regularly shaped for Sunny Garcia and had success with riders such as Kaipo Jaquias and Andy Irons and a long list of past and present competitors. With an exceptional eye for details and high-tech moulding experience he’s the perfect partner for Fanatic’s cutting-edge epoxy standards and unrivalled CAD-modeling systems.

This board is modeled off traditional longboards and feature a full nose, rounded pintail, and a generous well-balanced outline. It works in a variety of surf conditions.
It has a smooth rocker, but a little extra flip in the nose. This makes it more difficult to dive the nose.
